Who We Are and What We Believe
We hold to the beliefs of the Christian faith, that:
The Bible is the Word of God. It is true, inerrant, infallible, and complete. It is also the very breath of God (2 Tim. 3:16).
There is one God. He is uniquely one, yet He is three - He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 8:4; Matt. 3:16-17, 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 2:18, 3:14-17; Rev. 1:4-5).
Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Jn. 20:31). He was the complete God in eternity (Jn. 1:1) who became a perfect man in time (Jn. 1:14). He is both God and man (Jn. 19:5, 20:28; Rom. 9:5; 1 Tim. 2:5).
Jesus Christ became a true and real man in His incarnation (Jn. 1:14); He lived a sinless human life (Heb. 4:15); He died on the cross as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind (Heb. 10:12; 1 Pet. 2:24), thus accomplishing our redemption (Rom. 3:24; Eph. 1:7; Heb. 9:12; Rev. 5:9); He resurrected on the third day (Acts 10:40), becoming a life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45) to impart His life into us (1 Pet. 1:3); He ascended to the right hand of God the Father (Acts 1:9-10, Acts 2:33; Eph 4:10); and He will one day return to claim the church, His bride (Jn. 3:29; Rev. 19:7, 21:2), and establish His kingdom forever and ever (Rev. 11:15, 12:10).
Because of all that Jesus Christ is, has, and has accomplished, we sinners can repent (Acts 2:38, 26:20) and believe in Him (Jn. 3:16; Acts 16:31) for the forgiveness of our sins (Acts 10:33), for our redemption (Rom. 3:24), for our justification (Acts 13:39, Rom. 3:24), and for our being born of God (Jn. 3:5-6), that we may have the eternal life of God (Jn. 3:36) and become a child of God (Jn. 1:12). This is our salvation by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8-9).
As believers in Christ, we become part of the church, the Body of Christ (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:24), which is composed of all believers throughout all time.
